Sad News

 

Simon Dowse

 

It was a pleasure to have known Simon – a very keen member of Crowthorne Schoolboy Trials club - starting on a PW50 Yamaha - progressing through the ‘ranks’ from cadet to expert as he grew older and gained in skill.

 

I am sure many of the riders were impressed with the way Simon rode – he had great concentration and never lost his nerve no matter how difficult the sections became.

 

Many people were unaware that Simon had a heart condition, which he never allowed to get in the way of his enjoyment of life

 

He also used to race mini motor bikes and had a great love for cars as he grew older –

I know he did rather well in the trophy department too - winning competitions with his gentle style of riding.

 

As the news of Simon’s untimely passing spread around his fellow competitors and their parents one rider commented that he would never forget Simon’s smile – a great memory to have.

 

Our thoughts are with Simon’s family at this sad time
