THE TOUGH ONE,   21st JAN,   2006

  

I heard some rumours that some of our very early riders were riding this very hard event , so thought       "LETS GO MAN".,

 

I went with my son Graham , his wife Annette  and one of my Grandsons Wilhelm. Arrived nice and early, so had plenty of time to look around before the start. Picked up a program and sure enough there were 4 ex members, Rob Warner, Rich Warner, Darren Wheeler  and John Wheeler, bur John was injured so could not ride.

 

Right THE HAT went on, and to the pits I went. I was really chuffed, because when they saw THE HAT, I received a great big hand shake and some FANTASTIC SMILES (I was back with my riders)

 

Off they went with Darren Wheeler leading the pack, which he held for nearly an hour, when suddenly BANG a water hose blew, so that was that !  But who was waiting to take his place? That's right Rob Warner, who took over and held first place until the end. 

 

Unknown to us as, by now it was pitch black Rich Warner was going like stink, and he came in SECOND after BIG BROTHER.  That was a good ride Rich,  There were 29 Experts out there and the first 2 were EX Crowthorne riders , now that cant be bad .

 

Well done lads, you all rode your hearts out,  (TOTALLY MAD OF COURSE) but that's how Crowthorne riders are.
